Long Irons rule
My game is definitely coming together these days. After playing my handicap yesterday for the first time this year I then played 24 stableford points on a quick 9 holes at GC Stolper Heide tonight (despite a blackout at the par 5 fourth that lead to a 10).
Two higlights: the chip from the greenside of the second hole that went in for par (my first chip in ever) and the bunker shot at the eigth that landed smoothly on the green and lead to par.
All in all, the long irons make me totally forget about my woods, even when I land in the rough, the recovery shots kick ass. Par fives can be reached in three with irons only, the plus in accuracy off the tee helps a lot. I hope I can pull this off at the next tournament.

The third shot made it over, but then I picked up my ball with a nine and discarded the hole (same thing as here). [...]
