Da müssen wir wohl noch mal hin. Im direkten Vergleich der beiden Armee-Golfplätze Munster-Kohlen- bissen (wir berichteten) und dem British Army Golf Club in Lohheide bei Hohne bei Belsen bei Bergen bei Celle bei Hannover steht es 1:1. Eine Entscheidung, wo man nun besser Panzergolf spielen kann, steht noch aus.

Der Club: Auch bei den Briten geht es legér zu. Das Greenfee ist auch hier hinter irgend eine Tonne zu legen, falls niemand da ist und der Begriff “Etikette” kommt nur ins Spiel, wenn es wirklich wichtig ist. Also zügig spielen, nicht rumbrüllen. Ob man einen Kragen am Hemd hat, interessiert hingegen niemanden. Sehr schön.
Der Club liegt versteckt in einer militärischen Sperrzone. Nur wer keinen Respekt vor “Durchfahrt verboten!-Schildern” und Kettenfahrzeugen hat, kommt überhaupt auf den Platz. Der besteht aus einer Neunloch-Anlage mit 18 verschiedenen Abschlägen (also wie in Munster). Doch leider sind in Sachen Abschlag jetzt schon die Winterregel in Kraft. Es ist auf also beiden Runden vom selben Abschlag zu spielen, was den Score ein wenig verfälscht.

Was out hitting some balls at Global Golf Berlin.
Spotted Michi Beck as he was taking a golf lesson. Thought about asking him for an interview for Golfers Delight, but he was gone before I could ask him. I’ll get him next time!

“I used to try so hard to make the game look perfect and look pretty and I’d play alongside people that did what I did today and it would really frustrate me,” she said.

“Now, I don’t really care how it goes in the hole,” she said. “It’s all about putting the score on the card and I think the best lesson I’ve learned is to try not to make it look so good and so pretty and just get the job done.”
