Life-Golf-Balance
I am not satisfied with my current Life-Golf-Balance. So far, I played only three tournaments this year, most of my rounds are 9 hole rounds during weeknights and whenever special occasions come along, I cannot play. This week for example: yesterday, I could have played a T-Mobile/Blackberry invitational tournament at GC Wannsee, I had to work. Saturday, I could play a Rolls-Royce invitational tournament at GC Motzen, I can’t because we have friends visiting this weekend (and they don’t play golf, otherwise we would have found a solution. Next monday, theres the opportunity to play the Hockenberg Classic Pro-Am an event of the EPD-Tour, yeah, you guessed right, it’s work again.
Even the Matchplay-League thing is getting a bit of a pain in the ass to organise. Stefan can’t play until September due to a knee surgery, Kristina left the team, Lutz is on vacation and Ingo can only play one date. So for the first match I had to organise yet another player, Martin will join me on Sunday in Prenden against Berlin Business’n'Golf. What I just found out is that the Matchplay-League is played without handicap compensation. So no chance against a single handicapper, all members of my team have a handicap between 20 and 36.
We’ll see on sunday. We are playing against 10 and 18 handicappers, so it should be quite a struggle to score some points. At least I know that I can produce a good score in Prenden, so some pars and the occasional birdie might help.
