Who designs these trophies?
Ok, we’ve had our share of ugly trophies in the last years, but the trend now evolved to scary trophies:

This is what Retief won last Sunday at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters Trophy. Doesn’t it look like ist could bite?
It doesn’t get better next week on the European Tour, the trophy of the Dubai Desert Classic could be used as a stabbing device:

You won’t be able to fly this home in your hand luggage, Tiger!

Hey, if golf wouldn’t be anything good, Tiger could still opt in for a football career!

Summer Vacation
Let’s see what this blog thing is all about when it comes to vacation planning. My wife and I just had this idea that we want to visit the US west coast this year. We are thinking about this route, roughly!
So, all US residents and bloggers and bloggers that have been there: what are your recommendations for places to visit, sights to see and - above all - golf courses to play! Bandon Dunes is number one on my list, that’s for sure!
Love to see all your recommendations! Thanks for the help!
One stroke made the difference

143 strokes were good enough, 144 weren’t. On stroke separates Marcel Siem and Martin Kaymer and sadly, the cut line at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championships is right in between them. In his third attempt, Martin failed to make the cut, but the good thing is, he is getting closer and closer to making it.
Philip Price has the clubhouse lead after two rounds, being chased by Padraig Harrington and Miguel Angel Jiménez.
Out with the old
Wer sich neue Schläger oder bessere Bälle zulegt und sich fragt, wohin mit dem alten Kram: Blendtec hat eine schöne Idee. Ab in den Mixer! Weg mit dem Driver und den Bällen.
