If playing on indoor golf simulators counts in, I broke 90 yesterday by shooting an 85 on Pebble Beach – the virtual one that is. Now I only need to repeat this on the real one!

The Abu Dhabi Golf Championship will start tomorrow and this will mark Martin Kaymers first appearance on the 2007 Europaen Tour. He is teamed with Englands Alan Johnson and Shiv Kapur of India at 11:30 tomorrow, starting on the 10th tee (see tee time listing).

It is Martins third start on the European Tour and let’s hope he makes his first cut here. He’s been off for a couple of weeks practising and refocusing on his game. After the blistering start of his pro career in 2006, we keep our fingers crossed for him.

Marcel Siem has to rise a little earlier, he will start at 7:35, paired with Alvaro Quiros and Marc Warren. Sven Strüver is in 12th position on the waiting list, so I doubt that he will have a chance to join the action.
