One giant pitchmark

If god played golf, his pitchmarks would probably look like this:

For all us humans, this is the 8th hole at Tomson GC in Pudong, Shanghai, where the BMW Asian Open are currently being held. The first time I see a bunker in the green. Has anybody of you seen such rather unusual design?

    I remember that on some other course there’s also a bunker in the middle of a green. But i really don’t remember which course it was. Hm, maybe it wasn’t on TV but in Tiger Woods PGA 07? Ah, i shouldn’t try to think about such things with a hangover.

    Bei der alljährlich auf der PGATour stattfindenden Nissan Open im Riviera Country Club in Pacific Pallisades befindet sich auf der 6 (Par 3) mitten im Grün ein Bunker.

    Da wird dann schon mal von den Pros ein Sandwedge ausgepackt und ein Divot aus dem Grün gehauen, um über den Bunker zu chippen. Ein großer Spass für die Greenkeeper.

    Ja, Riviera hat wohl den berühmtesten Bunker mitten auf dem Grün. Guckst Du hier.
    Abt. nutzloses Wissen: In dem Club wurden übrigens auch die Golfszenen mit Katherine Hepburn und Spence Tracy in Pat and Mike gedreht.
