TPC Sawgrass: Players Interviews

JOE CHEMYCZ: We welcome our champion, the 2007 THE PLAYERS champion, Phil Mickelson, into the interview room. Phil with his win today picks up 4950 FedExCup points, moves to No. 2 for the season with his check of $1.62 million, moves to No. 2 on the Money List for the year; his second win in ’07; 31 career wins. Congratulations on a great week. Talk about some of the good things that happened and we’ll open it up for questions.

PHIL MICKELSON: It was a really fun week obviously. I really enjoyed it and enjoyed the final round, enjoyed playing with Sean O’Hair. I think he’s a tremendously talented player and I have a lot of respect for him the way he attacked the back nine and the way he attacked 17. Unfortunately the wind changed a little bit and went from hurting him to helping him and the ball went long. He hit a lot of great shots today. I’m excited about the outcome, though, for me.
