BMW International Open

Businesswise I am in Bavaria yesterday and today, on my way back to the airport I realized that I still had some time left, so I quickly decided to take an earlier exit off the Autobahn and pay the pros a quick visit at the BMW International Open at the GC München Nord Eichenried.

Here are some impressions:

Damn crowded on the putting green.

John Daly is a big part of the advertising. Let’s see if he still is next year. No personal reasons….

18th green and grandstands

Quiet please!

Martin Kaymer is being intervied by the Bayerischer Rundfunk

More pics over at my photoset on flickr.

Actually, the first player I ran into was Martin Kaymer. I waited until he had his interview finished, then asked him if we could have our picture taken. No problem, he said. So I gave my camera to the guy next to me, he takes the picture, thanks Martin, polite handshake, good luck for the tournament.

Minutes later, I check my camera to see how the picture turned out and there was none on my camera. The idiot didn’t press the really big trigger but the small power button next to it. So I don’t have a picture with me and Martin. Grmpf! Let’s see if I have my opportunity at the Deutsche Bank Players Championship at Gut Kaden.

Martin made a really nice impression, polite, friendly and modest. Should’ve asked him how it was to play with Ernie Els. Maybe one day, on of our golf bloggers will have the chance to interview him.
