Ryder Cup Team Europe
Is ist just me or is it closer than ever before for a golfer to make it onto the european team? Paul Casey displayed good golf at his first round at the Barclay Classic to put him on the map for a captains pick alongside Colin Montgomerie and Ian Poulter. Meanwhile, at the KLM Open Justin Rose, Oliver Wilson and of course Martin Kaymer try to pick up points for their automatic spot on the team. Darren Clarke hopes are focused on a wildcard.
After round one in Kennemer, Justin Rose put himself in a good position at -3, Oliver Wilson is at -1. Martin Kaymer gave himself a lot of work to do for todays round, at +2 he’s got to work his way into the cut. His direct rival for a Ryder Cup spot is Soren Hansen and he is seven shots ahead of Martin at -5 in T2. We keep our fingers crossed.
