Martin Kaymer has early lead at Le Golf National

Martin Kaymer surely was frustrated with his missing the cut last week at the BMW International Open as the defending champion.

Looking at his first round scorecard at Le Golf National near Paris, he certainly shook the bad feelings off as he now leads the tournament with -8 -9 after 17 18 holes, a course record equaling 62. Thomas Levet and Scott Strange are trailing at -5.

Oh, and Miguel Angel Jimenez is playing his 500th European Tour event, a well deserved cigar to you Miguel for this outstanding achievement!
