As time passes…. six year and more or less still going strong. Happy birthday, dear golf blog.

Via allesaussersport.de I just found out about http://www.sportsin140.com, a perfect resource for all sports fans on Twitter.
The website features list of all different sports and athletes on twitter and of course there is a complete listing of all PGA and LPGA players (and tournaments) using twitter.
For the latest updates, follow @sportsin140 on twitter.
In case you wondered why nothing happened here for the last four weeks, my WP-version was corrupt and I didn’t even manage to access the admin-section.
The godfather of german sport blogging managed to fix the problems and now everything is up and running again! Kudos to Kai, I owe you!

Today marks the fourth anniversary of this golf blog. Over these years I made rellay nice contacts, shared great experiences and received great feedback from you. Makes me look forward to the next four years!
Tony Korologos blog http://www.hookedongolfblog.com was one of the first resources I bumped into while I was starting this golf blogs over three years ago. He’s one of the veterans in golf blogs, so all you newbees, check out his thoughts on the state of the golf blogosphere.
Since a couple of months I really enjoy using twitter. I first tried it about a year ago and wasn’t so interested, but the stickyness came around when I decided to give it another shot. And now it is my personal ticker to see what friends are up to or have nice little conversations.
What I am missing though, is a golf news service on twitter. I haven’t really found one. Something like Kai Pahl does with his allesaussersport-Feed, but he covers mainly soccer and US sports, unfortunately no golf. Maybe I just should start out making my own, but time definitely doesn’t allow it (I set up this to maybe use later).
Doas anybody know of a decent twitter golf feed? I know http://twitter.com/golf, but that is not exactly what I am looking for.
Kiki pointed it out very precisely: “One golf blog alone cannot describe the entire beauty of this sport.” So, consequently we had the idea of putting all our golf blogs together in a “meta-blog” that we called The Leading Golf Blogs. I had reserved the domain for quite some time but it hadn’t been until now and with Karstens programming skills that we realized our idea.
And it turned out really nice, I might brag.
What the website does is aggregate all the blog post from the affiliated golf blogs Golfer’s Delight, The Royal and Ancient Golf Blog, Foremen Blog, Birdies & Bogeys, Golfgaga and as the newest and only female member, Kiki’s e13.de. Apart from that,we have integrated the news feeds from Pinposition.net and the European Tour, present some golf photography from the flickr! golf fotography pool and via our del.ici.ous group various links around the game of golf.
A couple of ideas still are in our heads to be added to the website. Thanks to all the contributors and especially to Karsten for the coding. What are you waiting for, go over there and check it out!
Heavy Construction will occur in the next 24 hours. Please excuse the bumby ride, your patience will be absolutely worth it..
Well, here we are now with a new design for this blog. I have been trying different layouts for the last years, but somehow it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. This new design is called “Benzinger”, custom-made, designed and programmed by Karsten of The Royal and Ancient Golf Blog. I cannot thank him enough for the brilliant work on this (I owe you)!
So, I hope you like it too! Enjoy!
