Usually, I am tracking my website traffic with etracker, and I am pretty satisfied with it.
Since Google Analytics came around I’ve thought about testing it for a couple of times. The problem I have with it is that Google stores your traffic data, so you pretty much open up your website traffic data to them.
But then curiosity overcame me and I implemented the google tracking code some five weeks ago. What I really like about Google Analytics is the visual appearance of graphs and maps. Take the map to the right for example, it shows the origin of the readers of this blog, you can have it by continent but also drill it down to every country and city.
As you can see, most of the visitors came from Hamburg, followed in a tight race by Frankfurt and Berlin. The funny thing is, if you put a map of Germanys golf clubs next to this map, it is almost the same pattern.
